What's new: Tiger Cats won the 2007 Tournament with 409.2 pounds of fish including the Big Fish, a 32.6 lb. yellow cat. Fat Cats take 2nd place with 300.2 lbs. of fish.
The Cat Snatchers team won the 2006 event with 285.2 pounds of fish. Overall 1551 pounds of catfish were brought in by 10 teams during the 2 day tournament. See the photos at the photo album.

What is this tournament all about? Here are a few facts...
An invitational, catfish only tournament lasting approximately 27 hours.
Competitors are made up of friends in the Wilcox County, Alabama and surrounding areas.
Limited to 10 teams.
All fish must be caught on a hook and it is primarily a trotlining event.
Held annually in the late spring or early summer.
Held to decide the possession of the "Heavyweight Catfishing Belts" and the title of "Kings of Catfish."
The title is awarded to the team that brings in the most pounds of catfish.
A separate trophy is awarded to the team with the largest catfish.
