Hunters will begin their day before sunrise with a continental breakfast, then be taken by an experienced guide to a selected stand. At approximately 10:00 a.m., the hunters will return to the lodge for a mid-day brunch/lunch. They will be taken to another selected stand at approximately 2:00 p.m. for the evening hunt. Just after dark, the hunters will again return to the lodge, where they will be served an appetizing Southern, home-cooked meal.
The dressing and quartering of successful kills will be performed by the camp staff at no additional charge. Transportation of the game is your responsibility, so bring plenty of coolers!
Hunting will take place from shooting houses and ladder stands, over food plots and fields of planted wheat, oats, rye grass, and clover; as well as strategic locations along creeks, scrape lines, and trails.
At Pine Apple Lodge, we don't harvest does after January 2, so that our late January hunts, during the rut, are not adversely affected. If you wish to hunt during doe season, please mention it, so we can schedule you accordingly.
We are committed to quality deer management. We believe that to have big bucks--you've got to let the little ones walk. Bucks taken must have a minimum of three or more countable points on one side. Any hunter taking a buck of less than the minimum will be charged a fee of $250. No exceptions!
Transportation to and from the hunting area is provided by 4x4 and ATV. Transportation to and from the Montgomery Airport, or from local strips, will be provided at no additional cost.
Hunting at Pine Apple Lodge is true fair chase hunting--with no guarantees, except those things we can control. Our family and staff will do everything possible to make your hunt successful and enjoyable.
