We are a logging family from Texas and Bill Jones and Hunky Daniel from Al. have contacted us so we can include your family in our prayers. Though we don't know you personally, we are brothers and sisters in Christ. That strong bond requires us to love and pray for each of you, especially in this your time of need. We will share your needs with our church and many more Christians will soon be offering up prayers for your speedy recovery and strength sufficient to sustain each of you.

Joy Davis sent us the web-site and after reading it, we stopped and prayed for God's hand to on your shoulders and for God's peace to fill your heart. We are so sorry, but we do know, through our many heart-aches, that the only real way to get through something like this is to give it all to the Lord...and we know that sometimes that is REAL hard to do....God bless each of you and we will continue to keep Forrest, his sweet family, parents, and the doctors and nurses in our thoughts and prayers.

I will continuously pray for healing. I know that things may seem dim, be assured that God is able. I pray that the sun shines through the windows of your hearts soon. God bless all of you and I pray that you are given the strength, direction and power to endure the journey before you. Healing comes from God and I can attest to that. I too, had a child in critical condition at one time and the doctors felt that there was no hope and she is alive today. It has been eleven years. Be faithful and patient and know that God is God.

We are still praying for Forrest and family. Tristan is learning Bible verses each week at school. The verse this week was "If ye shall ask anything in My name, I will do it" John 14:14.This verse along with so many more lets us know that God answers prayers.
"Miss" Mandy, I was decorating our tree yesterday and I came across the ornaments you painted for Michael and myself and had given to us from Forrest. They are dated 12-25-71. Dear Mr. Forrest, I have been praying for you every day since your horrible wreck. May God be with you. I just finished the football season. It was a very good record, but I forgot our record. I wish you were there for the football banquet. You would have been very proud of the 4-5-6-7-8-9 graders that prayed for you, by the way I got the Wildcat Award, but if you were our size and age and played like you used to play when you were in 6th grade you would have gotten it because of your extreme faith in our football program. I wish you could go to your house and say "finally I'm all better." I know how you feel I stayed in the hospital for almost a week once and I was ready to get out. You will always be in my heart. YOU KNOW HOW HARD THESE GUYS HAD WORKED AND IT WAS THEIR NIGHT TO SHINE! OF COURSE, EVERYONE HAD WORKED HARD IN PREPARING FOR THE EVENT... AND AS USUAL THE BACK COURT OF THE GYM WAS WONDERFULLY DECORATED WITH THE USUAL SPORTS MEMORABILIA... ON EVERY TABLE (THERE MUST HAVE BEEN AT LEAST 20 OR MORE LONG TABLES) THERE SAT A VARSITY FOOTBALL HELMET AS THE CENTERPIECE OF EVERY TABLE, STILL BEARING THE #10! *COACH BURFORD STARTED US OFF BY "KICKING OFF" IN PRAYER...FORREST JOHNSON AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY WERE PRAYED FOR AND REMEMBERED IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, AS WERE COACH COOPER AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY!!!! FOR LACK OF BETTER WORDS, THE POWER OF PRAYER WAS SO "THICK" IN THAT BUILDING LAST NIGHT!!!! YOU AND JODI WILL BE HAPPY TO KNOW THAT CLAY WENT ON TO RECEIVE THE PEEWEE "WILDCAT" AWARD! WE WERE VERY PROUD OF HIM, AS I KNOW YA'LL WOULD BE TOO!! Forest, I am so sorry to hear of your illness and accident. I didn't know about either until Monday 12-02-2002. As others have told you, God has a plan for everyone, we are not supposed to understand it or explain it, we're just supposed to have Faith and follow His will.
