My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. With all my love, Jamie W.
I know words can't take away the unbearable pain. The testimony of Forrest' life is evident by all the people who love him. Billy, I'm so sorry. Rest in God's arms.
Dear Johnson family my prayers are with you all,Jodi try to be strong I know Forrest is looking down over you and the children
Dear Jodi, I am deeply sorry to have heard the news of Forrest and will continue to have you, your children and family in my prayers.wr
From reading the prayers on website, I can see that many people have the Johnson family on their hearts and minds. Forrest has been a blessing to many of us in his friendship. He will continue to be a friend, an example of how to enjoy life and how to look forward to a reunion with our father in heaven. Our prayers continue to for comfort and courage for your family in the weeks to come. Thank you sharing the beautiful life that Forrest lived and enjoyed, as well as the grief and sorrow that took his life from us. Please know that our prayers have been heard and that we will continue to pray for comfort and courage for the days that come for your family. Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love.
Mr. Billy, Mrs. Mandy, Amanda, Jodi, Taylor, and Lange, I can't even begin to imagine the pain that you are feeling right now. All that I can say is that he is in a better place right now watching over all of us. I'm going to miss him. It is amazing the courage and perseverance that he showed in dealing with all the things after his accident. He is an inspiration to all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Micheal
Our thoughts and prayers continue.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I will continue to pray for your family.
Dear Jodi, Lange, Taylor, Mr. Billy, Mrs. Mandy, and Amanda, Words cannot describe the pain that I know you are feeling now. But know that God is with you and Forrest is standing in Heaven smiling down at you. I and my family will continue to uplift you in prayer. We love You.
Johnson family I am so sorry for your loss and the whole communities loss. Forrest was very special to me and to many people. He will always be my favorite patient. I love you and will continue to pray for you.
I know it is hard to take comfort in this now, but Forrest is looking down on all of us right now, wishing we could see the beautiful place that we all know he is in right now and he is 100% Forrest... I will miss him.....
Our prayers are with you all now and forever. May God give you strength and peace.
Dearly beloved family, Having buried a son of my own I know that your grief is beyond measure or comprehension. Please know that you are being held up in the prayers of your whole community. Each of you in your own personal way are under the loving wing of the Holy Spirit. If you wonder how you will get through this, know that if you ask for it the "peace that surpasses understanding" will wrap itself around you. The Lord will help you bear the unbearable. Like the loving father that he is he will tolerate your anger over the unfairness, and he hears your question " Why him ? ". And no, your life will never be the same. You will never be the same , but in time you will be stronger, maybe even better. My prayer for now is that you might find some peace of mind. Please know that you all will continue to be in our hearts and on our minds.
I struggle for the words to say how sad and sorry I am. I am so grateful for knowing Forrest and will cherish memories of him. I will continue asking God to comfort you all and give you strength.

We have been and will continue to pray for all of you.
I am so sorry to hear your dear husband, father and brother who was called today by Jesus. I will continue to pray for your family and your darling little girls. Keep your faith and hope and know that God loves you all.
Mr. Billy, Mandy, Amanda, Jodi, Taylor, and Lange my heart hurts for you. Know that the Lord is with you and feels your pain. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
We are so sorry here at the Collegedale Church of Christ for your loss. We are praying for the family at this time. We became aware of Forrest through Neill Dobson. May the Lord be with you and keep you in His care.

I am so sorry for your loss. Al and I will miss Forrest greatly. I went to a memorial service for a good friend on Saturday and it was said: "The liturgy, therefore, is characterized by joy, in the certainty that 'neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.' This joy, however does not make human grief unchristian. The very love we have for each other in Christ brings deep sorrow when we are parted by death. Jesus himself wept at the grave of his friend. So while we rejoice that one we love has entered into the nearer presence of our Lord, we sorrow in empathy with those who morn." Lean on your family and friends when you need it, for as long as you need it. We are all here for you.
I just found out the awful news. I am just struggling so hard with something to say that will make things better. I seems there are so many people that are close to me that are suffering right now. We have been praying for Forrest and all of you. I just pray now that God will comfort each of you.
After Forrest's wreck, there was a lot of talk about how thankful we were that he had survived. Forrest said one day in the physical therapy clinic that he just wanted to be able to watch his little girls grow up. Let us all take comfort in knowing that he is in Heaven looking down and he will not miss a moment of Taylor and Lange's entire lives. God please bring peace to Forrest's family and his many, many friends.
We are so sorry here at the Collegedale Church of Christ for your loss. We are praying for the family at this time. We became aware of Forrest through Neill Dobson. May the Lord be with you and keep you in His care.

We cant say how sorry we are. You will all remain in our prayers. Remember that God loves you and so do we.
We cant say how sorry we are. You will all remain
God will give you strength to accept this. His ways are higher than our ways. His love is there for you during this time.
My prayers, sympathy and love are with you. I will miss my good friend and beautiful cousin very much. My memories are great and I will smile often when I think of Forrest. May God Be With You! Love, Kit
Words cannot express the loss & heartache I feel for all of you.Forrest was such a specail young man & has touched so many life's with his corageous battle & by the life he lived."Precious in the eyes of the Lord is a saint when he is called home." May God comfort, strengthen & fill you with peace during your time of loss. I have been touched by Forrest and your family. I will continue to pray for all of you.God bless and keep you!
I never met Forrest directly, but heard only good things about him and his family, and I have prayed for all since I heard of the difficulties he faced. My prayers will continue, and I wish I had more than that to offer. It is sometimes very, very hard to believe that God never gives us more than we can bear, yet that is His promise. When all else falls apart, His promises endure. I wish you all my deepest sympathies, but I believe that Forrest is now 100% well, for another promise tells us that, in heaven, "There is no pain, neither sorrow." Again, I extend my deepest sympathies to Forrest's family.
We are praying for all of you...God Bless you all and keep you in his arms.
On May 23, 1993, my brother died of ARDS as the result of injuries caused during a car wreck. I will pray for you and your child, as my wife and family will. My brother was in the ICU for 2 weeks after the accident before losing his battle. Noone knows another persons grief and loss in times like these but as a regular visitor to William Malone's Hornswamp site and with several great friends in Camden, I have followed your struggle with particular prayerful interest. I am so saddened for your loss. I know quite well that words will never express your feelings but you will be remembered in prayers in Dothan, as I am sure you will be remembered by others in other places. God bless you and your family.
My prayers and sympathy are with you.
We are praying for you "Forrest".May God's healing hand be upon you.Family, be strong and keep the "Faith". My wife and I have been where you are with our son "Matthew" in 1996.It's "Hell" on earth as you know.Seek a Peace in your hearts through God"s will be done!
Hang in there Johnson family. We are all praying for you.
My prayers and sympathy are with you. I pray God will supply you with strength, comfort and peace. Your family will be in my prayers daily.
Hang in there. Lots of prayers being said for you and your family
Our prayers are with you.
I'm sorry that I haven't been able to come by lately. I have had a cold and I didn't want to give it to you! Although I have not been able to visit, I continue to constantly pray for Forrest and all the rest of the Johnson clan. You have handled this terrible situation with such grace. I am amazed at your strength as a family. Together you can get through anything. Please call me if you need anything.
Amanda, Mr. Billy, Miss Mandy and Forrest, I just found out about your website last night, and I wanted to let you know that I and lots of people in Greenville are praying for Forrest daily. I love yall, and I know Forrest is gonna pull through! Love, Ashley
Forrest, The first time we saw you after the accident, you hugged us and told us how much you loved us. You were so happy to be alive and at home with your family and friends, and you were so unselfish wanting to make sure that everyone knew how much you cared. Well Forrest, you have many people who love you too and we are all pulling for you! You are an inspiration for us all. You have always been a fighter and we know you will win this fight! We love you Forrest and are praying that you will come home soon. Love, Darryl and Lori
My daughter-in-law is a nurse in your unit. She informed me of your situation. Please be assured that you are in our thoughts and prayers daily.
Our prayers for Forrest and Jodi are voiced daily as well as the prayers of the members of Southside Baptist Church of Alabaster.
Dear Billy, I just read all the updates on the webpage for Forrest, it is difficult to say just how I feel at this moment, it seems like only yesterday i was at his hunting trailer and we were discussing our trip this year. What you and your family is going thru is way beyond anything i have ever endured, I lost my mom and dad within 18 months of each other, but they had both lived a full life, Forrest has most of his Ahead. I promise that i will pray daily for all of you and that i will put you on our prayer list at church. Remember, GOD is still in control, and i Pray he see's fit to restore the health of your son.God Bless all of you.
We are good friends of Pete and Cindy Herndon. Hurry and get well, Forrest!
Mandy, Billy, Amanda, and Forrest, Matt and I pray for you daily and know that the Lord is working on Forrest as I write this email. Mandy, Mama and I love you very much and want you to lean on us as you need to. Our thoughts and prayers are constantly with you. Love, Currie
When I think of Forrest, I think of so many things: 1) He is a proud of his family. I remember at one of the catfish tournaments his team was named "Taylor's Pride" for his daughter. He loves his family, beautiful wife and children. 2) He is protective. As his neighbor growing up, I know he was tough on Amanda and they had their fights but he was very protective of her. 3) He is loyal. I have never seen a family that is so close and loving. 4) He is brave. A certain incident comes to mind. When Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video came out in the 1980's, Kim, Amanda and I went over to his bedroom window to scare him. He came barrelling out of another window with some sort of comando flip and scared us instead. 5) He is a great dancer. I hope he recovers soon and in time is able to come home and do his "buck dancing" to "Rocky Top". He always has been an entertainer. I have faith that Forrest will recover. He must recover! Way before his accident happened he was already making a place for himself as a legendary Wilcox county man. Ranking right up there on my list with Mr. Squint Gaston, Peyton Burford, Mac Parden and others. Take care Amanda, Miss Mandy, Mr. Billy, Jodi, Taylor and Lange. We're praying for you all.
We are praying for Forrest and his Family, that shower down a Healing Blessing and to continue to make his family strong in these trouble times. For the Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in Him. (Nahum1:7)
We're praying for you.
Please tell Forrest we are still praying for him! Keep fighting, Forrest! We pray for your strength, endurance, peace, comfort and healing. To all the Johnsons, may God be with you and strengthen you, may He be an ever-present comfort. Please continue talking to & encouraging Forrest, I truly believe he can hear even while sedated. Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers... God bless each of you, Lane & Victoria
Dear Forrest. I have never met you but I have had the extraordinary pleasure of meeting Tina Echler. You know, has that SELMA Slang and married that "Yankee" that does EVERYTHING so perfect, you would swear he was born in the south!? Well I don't only hope, but KNOW that you are hearing these words as they are read. I believe that while your body rests and heals, your true self (or soul) is watching and hearing every prayer and tear that falls on your behalf. I believe that, when it is time? You will raise your head up and say " I want to see my beautiful baby". I am the proud daddy of a beautiful baby girl and I cannot imagine how hard it must be to fly to her bedside at night and want to tell her "how much you love her". And I am sure you want to let her know that as soon as your body is well enough to hold your fighting spirit, you will hold her in your arms, Rub her tiny head, And tell her how much you love her. And although she never know it at the time, you have been doing that since the day she was born. I am so sure that you have never left her side since that day. I also know that you wish you could let us know from where you are, that you are in the most wonderful "waiting room" that we could possibly imagine. And that one day we will understand the wonderful warmth of being cradled in the arms of God himself. I also know that you and GOD are hearing our prayers. I can only imagine your impatience as you wait for your body to heal so you can run to your daughters bed. And let her see the face of the angel who has been constantly, softly kissing her wonderful face. I am having a tougher time writing this letter than I knew I would. I am a firm believer in GOD and heaven. I am sure all of us will one day feel the peace and joy you must feel as you wait for your body to heal enough to once again accept your soul. But I am also sure you know how I feel. Because like I said before I am a daddy too. So I am praying a selfish prayer. I pray that your daughter feels YOUR tender touch and bearded chin every evening. I pray that when your eyes finally meet with her's the first time your earthly body stand over her bed, she recognizes your face. The face of the Angel that has been at her side since her little life began. I pray that one day our daughters will play in the park on a swingset. And you will tell me not to worry about my selfish Prayer. Because even though God heard "my" hearts desire for you to hold your baby girl. It was really "your" prayers and desires he listened too. Because he understood how much someone must love the other, if they are willing to leave paradise to be by their side. And if anyone understands about the love of their only child,...God does. So we will wait patiently for the day GOD decides that your earthly body has rested enough to handle you running out of control from your bed, To hold your little girl. And I will drive south as soon as I hear the wonderful news that "you" are up and walking in the park with your daughter. And I will stand beside you with my daughter. And we will push them on the swingset. Thank you for listening, Arlos
We lift you up in our prayers daily. We pray for God's healing for Forrest and His comfort for you, his family.

Forrest, Jodi, Billy, Mandy, Amanda, Taylor and Lange: Isn't it amazing that so many people can have one common link! Just like all the others our thoughts and prayers are with you daily. Your are on so many prayer lists and we are big believers in prayers. May you feel God's strong arms around you as he uses His healing powers. Romans 5:2 Rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. We love you all. Wayne and Barbara
WE LOVE YOU BOTH. WE ARE STILL LIFTING UP FORREST IN PRAYER. REMEMBER HOW MUCH GOD LOVES YOU.
My heart goes out to Forrest and all of his family. We continue to pray that Forrest will have a speedy recovery! May God bless you during this trying time. Prayerfully, Helen Mendheim (I am one of Daphne's pledge sisters at Alabama and I commend Daphne and William for such a wonderful website.)
Forrest,Jodi,Taylor,Lange,Mr.Billy,Mrs.Mandy,and Amanda we want all of you to know you are our thoughts and prayers everyday. Philippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ who strenthens me." Just remember during this time the Lord's strenghth will help each of you through this.Contiune to trust in him. "Trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge him,and he will make your path straight." Proverbs 3:5 He is in control He can calm the troubled waters When you walk in dark despair. There is hope when you feel hopeless knowing that the Lord is there. Sharing in your sunshine moments Or in valleys deep and wide, He will never, ever leave you He is ALWAYS by your side. There's no other friend so faithful Through the sunshine and the rain, Through the tears drops and the laughter In your joy and in your pain. We could never, ever thank Him for His love He gives so free, Never changing...never ending throughout all eternity. Oh,the wonder of all wonders as we live day to day. Knowing that we have a Father who is with us all the way. We love all of you so much, and we are always here if you need anything.
Forrest, and everyone in the Johnson family is in my prayers every day.
I have been praying for all of you. I wish Forrest a speedy recovery and hope his wife and children are doing well. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers. I love you all. Angela Evans Johnson
When I look at this website, I am completely overwhelmed by the number of friends and family who are lifting Forrest up in prayer. Even unconcsious, he is such a witness for God. We love you Forrest and want you to keep on fighting. I hope everyone that reads this site will be inspired to make donations to this family. My Mother asked that instead of giving her a Christmas gift this year, that we make a financial donation to the Johnson Family. I can't think of a better Christmas gift! I hope others will do the same. Forrest, Jodi, Taylor, Lange, Amanda, Mandy, and Billy, we look forward to seeing you soon! Love, Alyson Please tell the Cooper's we will continue praying for them as well.
Forrest, You and your precious family will be in our prayers. I know well how God works miracles. A Bible verse I have clung to when going thorugh difficult times has been Isaiah 40:31 "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." God bless you and keep you.
So many people have been praying for you ever since your accident. We will continue to pray for your recovery and for strength and comfort for the entire family. May the good Lord bless all of you, especially during this time.
We are praying for all of you. If there is anything we can do PLEASE let us know.
As a mother and grandmother, my heart really goes out to your whole family. I pray for Forrest's speedy and complete recovery. God Bless you all.
Just wanted you all to know that our prayers have been with you since the onset of Forrest's illness. We rejoice in Lange's safe arrival, she is a beautiful baby. St. Joseph's Catholic Church has offered prayers at every Mass for Forrest and all the family, also our Tuesday night prayer group. Our Lord will hold you close in His arms during this time.
I just read the latest update. I see that Forrest's blood O2 levels are in the mid 60's instead of the 80's. This is a time for all of us to come together & pray even more for this wonderful family. I have forwarded this site to more friends & some who are just people I deal with in my job so we will have more people praying. We can't change things but through prayer they can be changed by God. Max Lucado writes, "He restores my soul, he doesn't reform; he restores. He doesn't camouflage the old; he restores the new. The Master Builder will pull out the original plan & restore it. He will restore the vigor. He will restore the energy. He will restore the hope. He will restore the soul." From the book:"Safe in the Shephard's Arms" Take the time now to forward this site to just one more person. We WILL continue to lift this family in prayer.
Thank God, He is not limited by mans expectations. In Luke 1:37 it reads ,"For nothing is impossible with God." Please hold on to this scripture as your lifeline. He can and will heal your son.
We are good friends of Hallie and Al's... Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and we sincerely hope for a full and speedy recovery! May God Bless you always.
just wanted to let Forrest know that I am praying for him & his family. Just remember God will work everything out & He is always there. Congratulations on your newest member to your family. I heard about you through Linda Mott.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers daily.
My parents are Rick & Reba Mims. My dad was in the hospital at UAB in Feb - April 2000 - Forrest is in the bed that my dad was in while there. Much like Forrest, the doctor's couldn't figure out what was going on and his lung's failed and was on a respirator. Dad had multiple organ failure, lungs, kidneys and his blood pressure. My family learned of you by a prayer request in their Sunday School Class at Hunter Street Baptist in Hoover. We know what you are going through. My dad is still with us - he made it through because of God's healing hand and miracles. For anyone reading this, please do not stop praying for Forrest and his family. God heals and performs miracles every minute. Forrest is in excellent hands. The nursing staff at UAB is the best - and they are Christians who believe in miracles. They will give him the best care while also caring for his family. We will all be praying for you and thinking of you.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you. We love you!!
Forrest, we are thinking of you and praying for you every day.
Forrest you & your family are such an inspiration to so many of us, your family's faith makes my faith even stronger. You continue to FIGHT! We know that God heals & performs miracles & we BELIEVE. I have never met you or any of your family but I love all of you. In Christ, Linda

Dwayne and Forrest knew each other in High School. We came to visit while we too have been at UAB, with Darline Hughes, Dwayne's mom. You are in our thought and prayers. God's will is for Forrest to be healed and we have faith that it WILL happend. We plan on coming to visit again. However, we too have had some rough days. So please know that even if we can't get across the road, please know we are in prayer for you and Mary Shannon and Todd. Please let them know too! In Him, Shea and Dwayne Hughes

JOHNSON'S AND COOPER'S still PRAYING for your families today and every day...I pray for God's wonderous power to heal your sick loved ones and also assist you by continuing to deliver patience, strength, and endurance to continue this fight. There's an old song we used to sing in youth choir on occasion, and until I grew up I never fully understood the comfort must less the impact that this song would have on me. I want to share a few of the words with you now. (When I think I'm going under, part the waters lord. When I feel those waves around me, calm the sea. When I cry for help, oh hear me Lord and hold out your hand. Touch my life, still the raging storm in me.) May these words provide you with peace and comfort as they have me on many occasions. Keep talking to your loved ones every chance you get. Even if there's doubt that they can hear you or not.. We have to believe they do!! MUCH LOVE, JACKIE WATSON AND FAMILY

To ALL of the Johnson family: Again we want you to know that each one of you are in our prayers everyday. We pray that the doctors will find the right combination of medicine and knowledge to help Forrest get well and back with his family. We pray for strength for all of the family as you go through these emotionally trying times in your lives.
Our son-in-law, Jay Kyzar, is friends with Forrest and has kept us informed about him. We are praying each day for a full recovery. We've added his name to our prayer list at Goshen Baptist Church. We personally have seen God work a miracle with Bill's mother last February and we know that God has the power to do the same for Forrest. We also pray for his wife, two daughters, parents and other family members. May God have glory for all that He has already done and will do in the future for each of you!
I want my "Hog wrestling" buddy to get well soon. There are fish to be caught and stories to be told. God bless. Hawkeye
We continue raising all of you up to God through our prayers, but He is with you all every moment. Keep the faith. Do not lose hope. Think positive thoughts and keep telling Forrest about those beautiful children he has waiting on him. I cannot tell you how powerful that is...I had a student who was hospitalized in a coma for months after a terrible car accident, and her family and friends talked to her constantly. Six months later, she was sitting in my classroom reading her literature assignments. Forrest will hear you. Your power and faith in him and Him will radiate. We love you all.
Forrest & Family we will keep you in our prayers. Our family has experienced the power of prayer and we know it will work for you. With the new year will come better days for you, Jodi,Tayor and Lange
May God's love and power keep you close and strong. Through the power of prayer nothing is impossible. When God's children start praying for one of their brothers in Christ there is nothing Satan can do to stop the Lord's work. May the healing power of God breath new life into your body and may His healing touch bless you this very moment as only He can do. Christ is the Truth, The Light, and The Way, if we belive on His name we can be healed. I pray now for you and your family that God will heal you as only He can do. Have Faith, and continue to pray, we will be praying with you and for you. Satan can not stop prayer. May God Bless and Heal you, In His most Blessed Name we pray...AMEN
May God hold you in the hollow of his hands. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

It's hard for you to escape not looking at the NUMBERS when you visit Forrest I know, just know that the low numbers you see at times really don't mean a thing in the big picture of his healing process. In order for him to get better, it's gonna take many sets of numbers...You all stay strong and rest when you can. God is in control! God has kept the numbers moving, that alone is a miracle, and shows us that he believes in Forrest. I pray that he will continue to work his miracle here on all of you and make the NUMBERS SOAR! WE LOVE YOU ALL! STAY POSITIVE! LOVE, JACKIE WATSON AND FAMILY
