From Coca-Cola to Camellias: Bellingrath Gardens Celebrates 85 Years


Held at the Wilcox Female Institute, 100 Broad Street, Camden from 2-4 pm. Tom McGehee, Museum Director and Curator for Bellingrath Gardens & Home will give the WHS Winter program outlining the history of Bellingrath Gardens and the couple who created it.

Homes of the River's Bend Tour

Enjoy the Spring tour of some of the area's most loved antebellum homes. This year’s theme is “A Tour of the River’s Bend” as we open up homes in Canton Bend, Possum Bend, Sedan, and Camden. Historic Alabama Courthouses of Alabama: A Century of their Images and Stories


Held at Black Belt Treasures, 209 Claiborne Street, Camden - Author, Delos Hughes will speak on his new book about Alabama courthouses.  Wilcox County's courthouse features prominently as well as courthouses from each of Alabama's 67 counties, either past or present. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
