FALL BOW HUNT
Liberal bag limits and a large deer herd has made Alabama
a prime bow hunting destination.
Archery season for deer in Alabama opens on
October 15th each fall . With acorns beginning to fall from the trees
and the deer not yet wary of the hunter, this is the time many hunters
live to be in the woods!
Alabama's liberal season allows archery
hunters to harvest a doe per day and three bucks per season. With a population of
over 1.5 million whitetails the chances are you will get a shot at one
during this time of the year.
Wilcox Academy is offering a unique way for
you to get in on the action! You take your choice of any of the
first 4 weeks of the season. The cost is $150 per day. This does not include lodging or food.
We have two local deer processors that can process your kill for their
customary fees or you can use our skinning facility to clean and quarter
your own kill. Rooms are available at your cost at the Southern
Inn Motel and Restaurant or the American Inn in Camden.
You
will need to provide your own climbing or other type of portable
stand.
So go ahead and pick your time and give
us a call. See the BOOKINGS page for the name and number of your
contact.
